There are two things going on in this question. My feeling is that you meant to ask whether it is okay to use a regular deodorant after having used Drysol (which is an antiperspirant) and being cured.

You have to be careful not to use the words ‘deodorant’ and ‘antiperspirant’ interchangeably, because they are not the same thing.

Deodorants just smell good. Antiperspirants have aluminum in them which is a chemical that plugs sweat glands and reduces sweat.

The answer to your question–if I have understood it correctly–is that yes, you can use a regular deodorant to manage odor after being on Drysol. In fact, you can even use an antiperspirant if you need it. However, if you’re still using Drysol, you should avoid antiperspirants, but deodorants are okay.

To know whether a certain product contains aluminum or not, simply look at the back of the package where the active ingredients are listed. If you see the word ‘aluminum’ whether it says something after that word or not, it is an antiperspirant that you’re holding.

    Hope this helps.
